Stop number seven of the Koastal Kaos Surf Series 2007-2008 landed in glassy, waist-high surf at Seaside Reef this past weekend. And to witness the action, a bevy of photographers and spectators gathered along the shoreline shooting and looking as competitors put on the show. Eye-catching stunts were not in short supply. As one althlete managed to find his way in and out of a pint-sized tube and another launched a flawless air reverse, the crowd exploded in cheers and shouts at the water's edge.

Now the competitive heat wasn't only in the water. Event coordinators played their brand of Jeopardy! and flooded spectators with surfeit trivia questions about surf history. And for each correct answer, winners claimed not only victory, but also a well-deserved prize.
