 The
competitors faced some challenging conditions at Crystal Pier. At least
during the finals, the northwest wind was blowing quite hard, putting a
whole lot of texture on the waves. In addition, the sandbar wasn't
quite working with the push of the tide. But nonetheless, the high
caliber of surfers made it all worth watching.
