SoCalOceanRacing Series kicks off the first race of the season on Novemebr 8th at the annual SDOCC La Jolla Shores Invitational.
There will be two courses: a long and a short one. The long course is
about 8.5 miles along La Jolla Shores' scenic coastline, while the
short one runs about 2.25 miles in two triangular laps within viewing
distance from the beach.
All forms of paddlecrafts will be participating in the race, ranging
from paddleboards and SUP boards to surf-skies and kayaks. And just in
case your paddle modality isn’t there, keep “in mind that it takes 3 of
the same watercraft to form a division,” states SoCalOceanRacing on its
website.
And given the large scope of the paddle, the organizers are predicting
a large turnout and are asking participants to register online. “Please
use the on-line registration that we set up with active.com for
pre-registration. It should reduce wait time and standing in line on
the day of the race,” warn the race handlers. To learn more about the
event, make sure to check the mylocallineup.com calendar and visit SoCalOceanRacing website.
