Just wondering what everyone's favorite surf movies are. I'm sure there are a bajillion out there that I haven't seen but a few that come to mind right now are (in no particular order and some w/ a short desc.):

1) Another State of Mind
I can watch this "longboard" movie over and over. It's one of those movies I watch on the second monitor/HDTV/background while working on something on the main LCD. Some of the stuff they do in there is just amazing. CJ Nelson all the way!

2) Sprout

3) Shelter

4) Life as A Movie
Benji's movie where he takes surfers, skaters, and snowboarders around the world and has them all do each sport. Very fun to see what Kelly can do in the snow or Tony Hawk in the water.

5) Drive Thru Series (Mainly South Africa & The Carribbean)
It's fun to see all the different people and things to do in each place. Plus Pat'O, Donovon, Benji, and Kalani are hilarious.

6) Seedling

7) Single Fin Yellow

8) One California Day

9) Step Into Liquid (just gorgeous in HD)

10) Jaime O'Brien - Freak Side

11) Tons o Taylor Steele movies

And I'm sure there's plenty more that I just can't recall at the moment or have never seen. Anything that I just must see?

P.S. - My favorite snowboard movie is "Picture This!" GREAT music & locales.

It was a bit too slow for my taste. I think the artsy work was pretty good, that one doesn't really make the cut for me

That makes the cut. Good artistic work, but with engaging surfing through and through.

Best Ever - Five Summer Stories

I would have to say One California Day, however, I am a product of the taylor steele productions, so i enjoy a raw, punk rock vid, from time to time.

I like The Present. An all time classic is a movie by Alby Falzon called "You can't step twice on the same piece of water"
It is 80% Jim Banks getting tubed out of his gord in Indo. Amazing surfing, great soundtrack stunning visuals.

Oh Yeah, I forgot about that one! Love it got it converted to a
DVD-the sound track is great!

I would love a DVD of that movie. No one stocks it.
