Former
southern California surfing standout Tom Wegener moved to Australia in
the late '90s, where he settled down to start a family and a surfboard
business. Over the past decade, Tom has focused his craft around
building hollow, wooden boards and has poured a ton of work and
research into riding ancient Hawaiian surfcraft known as alaias. Join
Tom for a slide show and video about wood boards and the speed and
thrill of riding a flat piece of wood without any fins.
