Pacific Beach -- On Saturday evening, May 22, Surfindian will celebrate the grand opening of its new surf store located at 4652 Mission Boulevard in Pacific Beach, just two doors south of Surfindian’s current location. The opening of the new surf store will represent an expansion of Surfindian’s current location. The new surf store will feature surfboards from Skip Frye, Donald Takayama, Paul Strauch, Tyler Hatzikian, Hydrodynamica, Steve Mast and Michael Miller, and will offer clothing from Ando and Friends, Wellen, Palm Graphics, Yellow Rat, Captain Fin and several other hip apparel companies.

On the same evening, May 22, Surfindian will also host an opening reception for a new art show featuring the paintings of Japanese artist Koji Toyoda. Mr. Toyoda has previously shown at the Surf Gallery in Laguna Beach, the Huntington Beach Surfing Museum, and recently completed a show at Slope Gallery in Tokyo. Mr. Toyoda will be traveling from Japan for the opening reception, and he will be in attendance and available to discuss and sign his art.

The grand opening and art reception will start at 6:00 pm.  Down tempo lounge music will be provided by DJ Jasmine, and food will be provided by Kafe Yen of Pacific Beach.  Please join Surfindian, our honored guests, and the Southern California surf community for an evening of celebration, art, friends, food and music.

Surfindian is located in the heart of Pacific Beach at 4652 and 4658 Mission Boulevard, San Diego, California  92109.  For more information, please visit the Surfindian website.
