Thomas Maximus wins Elite Race SEA Paddle NYC

Dana Point paddler, Thomas Maximus, claimed the first Elite Race Sea Paddle NYC.

NEW YORK CITY, NY - Thomas Maximus won the Elite Race at the SEA Paddle NYC, finishing the 28-mile race just under four hours, beating 15-year old phenomenon, Slater Trout, and also notable outrigger paddler, Will Reichenstein. Maximus, from Dana Point, CA, and one of the pioneering members of the sport, is taking home a $3,000 check from his first place finish.

SEA Paddle NYC, an environmental and charitable surfers’ alliance, held its first paddle in 2007 and has raised hundreds of thousands for several different non-profit organizations.
