C4 Waterman, a company that specializes on stand-up paddle surfing, has released yet another gadget to improve performance: a paddle fin. The small device is intended to be placed on the upper face of the blade, where it allegedly functions to provide the paddle with a bit more grip. This extra grip is aimed at preventing the paddle from sliding on the surface of the wave when the surfer leans either forward for a bottom turn or backward for a cutback. The paddle fin comes with a 3M adhesive film and can be placed on any paddle.
