This is a small wave board, maybe ankle to head high. It's got a little more beef in the nose and tail than a typical shortboard. Also it's meant to be ridden about a 1/2 inch wider and 1-2 inches shorter than a normal shortboard. The vee out the tail makes it quick rail to rail, and the concave entry makes for good lift and speed through the mush.

This board is great for knee to head high surf. It's sort of a shortboard-fish hybrid, though I'd say it has more shorty in it than it has fish. The fuller nose really helps in wave catching, especially when it's small, and any problems that may have arisen from having too wide a tail are solved by the wing. If you're in the market for a small wave stick, give Chemistry a call. They'll make one custom for you.
