This board surprised me on how easily it catches waves. I weigh about 200 lbs., but nonetheless it quickly glided into the surf. Now if you're looking to spend a whole lot of time on the nose, then that's not your board. This board is for some good size surf and powerful turns, not nose perching SoCal style.
