This movie is certainly one of my favorites. Surf, Surfer, Music, Picture are all outstanding. I can watch it several times and not get tired of it. And unlike your usual surf movie, you don't get disoriented by the cacophonous soundtrack. Instead, the soundtrack is impressively pleasing.
