Join Laird Hamilton, Dave Kalama, Gerry Lopez and Rob Machado, along with Chris, Keith and Dan Malloy as they venture into the heart of Indonesia , into a hidden paradise of colossal barrels and perfect waves. WaterMan takes you on an intimate boat trip with some of the most influential surfers of our time as they bodysurf, paddle surf, hydrofoil, stand up surf and tow surf in the Indian Ocean . Venture beyond the shallows of the surf culture into a deeper shade of blue.

Now it's very hard to fail when you have a lineup like: Laird Hamilton, Dave Kalama, Gerry Lopez, Rob Machado, Chris Malloy, Keith Malloy, Dan Malloy. And sure enough they didn't. Not only is the caliber of surfers pretty much one of the best ever available, but the picture quality, cinematography, and waves are also pretty good. And if there is a film that fits perfectly into the 'Multiple Forms' category of this movie review, this is it. This remarkable crew gets on virtually every single piece of surf equipment, living out the MY LOCAL LINEUP philosophy of all-inclusiveness to its best.

Now they failed in that it wasn't local, but that's the subject for another discussion. Oh! and I almost forgot. The big bummer of the film was John Cusack, who was the narrator. It was horrible. One of the last things I think when thinking about surfing is Cusack. Now why they chose him to narrate is beyong me.
