Summer is closing fast. September 22 at 15:44 is the beginning of the fall equinox. The water is hovering around 70ºF, which is pretty nice. Bath water temp you might say. Funny how you can go down to southern latitudes right now and the water can be much warmer. Of course if you go too far south it might get cool again. It's the nature of things. Southern hemispheric conditions are in late winter right now. Here's your basic offroad kit. Note the "Moto Sandals". Someone needs to design this "baja" style with kick pads for the shift lever. Built up a pretty good callous on the left toe. Also note the baja style headgear. I guess the old Bell® Helmet motto -"If you got a $10 dollar head, buy a $10 dollar helmet!" holds true here. At 85ºF temps it's hard putting on the real helmet. The shades keep the sun out but you still tear up at top speed. Cruising a baja beach on one of these is what adventure is all about. Remember Easy Rider? When the camera pans over to Hopper as their road trip hits the New Mexico mesas? That's what it feels like. A screen shot might come in handy here. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7tuUG6dLv4 . Fish, hunt, dive, surf and just plain old explore some new terrain in an old location. Fun.
