Ominous Fog in SoCal, End-of-the-World-like
Friday, 02 October 2009

Nautical desparation, end of the world, and alien invasion all crossed my mind this morning (not really!, or sort of) when I saw a towering wall of fog threatening to sweep the shoreline this morning.

But here is what I really thought: Darn! fog!!! I got probably only about 10-15 minutes before the conditions become miserable, with cold temps, onshore winds, and zero visibility.

And the bright side, fogs help keep the crowd out of the water. For "we all" (luckily not we all) remember those days when you couldn't see a thing from the parking lot, but went out anyway and ended up scoring classic waves! Ouch! Have I just given out an ultra-secretive surf tip?!
