Our friend Whiteney Guild sent some killer shots from a helicopter angle hovering over Peahi, aka Jaws. Now as most of you probably knowbynow, I'm a big stand up paddle enthusiast. But looking at the image below, sup doesn't ... 

... look like was the appropriate equipment for the day, or at least that sup board. Perhaps a narrower one would have faired better. (Photos | Whitney Guild)

Or maybe the shoter strap tow-in stick (sometimes as short as 5'5") would have been the better choice. Now that aside, from all photographic accounts, it does look like the place was a full-fledge big wave park, with icons like Laird Hamilton, SUP riders, and surfers splitting the peak.
