1. DOWNLOAD FIREFOX [top]

Download firefox to avoid running into problems. Firefox is the most bug-free and safest browser available thus far. Internet Explorer has several security vulnerabilities and Safari a host of bugs. And if you use something other than these two, just in case, download Firefox to avoid running into problems. You've been warned! Now if you're in sme third-world country using a coffee shop computor, then blog ahead and don't worry about which browser you're using.

DOWNLOAD:  FIREFOX as your browser to avoid problems.

Note: Make sure to select the correct category before saving, otherwise the entry will not show in the section dedicated to that content (for example, stand up paddle, shortboard, or longboard). The category selection can be found on the right side under Publishing Information.

3. TIPS ON POSTNG IMAGES [top]

Since images are basically almost all that surfers care about, you want to make sure that in addition to your writing (which you're encouraged to do) you make sure to post some images and (if possible) videos -- more on that below. The more imagery for the user the more popular you're blog is likely to be. Posting images is fairly simple.

step 1: click on 'Images and documents' (right side).

step 2: click on 'Browse'.

step 3:  select the image from your computer that you wish to post on your blog and then click 'Open' or 'Select'. NOTE: The image file cannot exceed 1.5MB. If the image file is larger than this, make sure you reduce it by either downsizing the image or scaling down its quality.

step 4: click 'Upload'.

blogpostpics4.png

step 5: ,once the upload is complete, your browser will give you a message telling you that the file has been successfully uploaded.

blogpostpics5.png

step 6: the uploaded image will appear in the image box.

blogpostpics6.png

step 7:  once you find it in there, click on it and it will appear in the main text area of your blog.

step 8:  RESIZE - Make sure that the image fits the text area (515 px is the optimal width). If it doesn't, then do the following. Click on the image and as a result some little squares around the image will appear. Then by clicking on and holding a little square in the corner of the image, you can resize the photo simply by moving your mouse. For the image to be fully displayed in your blog, all the eight squares have to appear in the text area. Note that below they do not: there are only five squares.

So once we resize the image to the appropriate size through the method described above, all the eight little squares will then appear in the text area, like in the sample below.

4. TIPS ON POSTING VIDEOS [top]

Posting videos are ridiculously easy. Just make sure that the video is available on well-known videos platforms (like youtube, vimeo, metacafe, etc) and write in the following format, with the video platform's name in the curly brakets and the video id in the middle
