Hello there, Congratulations on your mylocallineup.com photographer's gallery. Here are the basics for you to get started. 1. LOGIN After logging to the site as a regular user, click on 'Photos' in the main menu (http://mylocallineup.com/photo.html), and login to the gallery with your photographer's username (@@@) and password (@@@), which may or may not be different from your generic login. (Note: If you haven't yet registered on mylocallineup.com, do that first so that you can gain access to the photo page.) 2. WATERMARKS We have also created a watermark for you with your name. Make sure you add the watermark to prevent people from hacking your photo and using it without permission. Note: (i) you can upload multiple photos in a single .zip file and resizing photos to 1024 pixels wide makes it for an easier upload; (ii) to add watermark, first upload photos by clicking 'Add Items' and after the upload is complete add the watermark by clicking on 'Edit Album -- Watermark;' and (iii) if you have problems, check out the tutorials (http://mylocallineup.com/tutorials). 3. SALES At this point, we don't make any money off the sales of the photos and we ask our users to contact the photographers directly. So, right now, if anything comes in, it's all yours. Go at it! We are currently working on a banner that will facilitate our users to contact the photographers. But right now, if they go to the photographers' page, the emails will be listed therein. 4. TUTORIALS If you have any questions about how to use the gallery, make sure to look at the Tutorial Section (http://mylocallineup.com/tutorials). And if you don't find what you are looking for there, don't be shy to send us an email. We are here to help you thrive and be a great resource for our community. And the same goes the other way around. So if you find something that doesn't look right on the site or is not working properly, please let us know, so we can get one of the web designers/programmers to try to solve the problem. 5. STICKERS AND BUSINESS CARDS And to help you thrive even further as a photographer, we give you free stickers and business cards. By putting the My Local Lineup sticker on your gear, many surfers know where to check out your photos by simply looking at your lens, even if you don't tell them or give them a business card. This, in turn, helps surfers to find what they are looking for (namely, photos!) and it helps photographers to better reach their customers. And in case you do have a chance to hand out business cards, you don't have to spend your money making them. We give you free business cards, which will hopefully help you even further to boost your sales. You can pick up the stickers and business cards at Bob's Mission Surf Shop. Bob's Mission Surf Shop 4320 Mission Blvd. San Diego, CA 92109 If you have any other thoughts, questions, or suggestions, don't hesitate to shoot us an email. We look forward to seeing your images coming through and getting this great surf community of ours to share in the stoke with you. |
