To help our new and old users to become acquainted with all that we have to offer, we’re starting a ‘Tutorial Series’ where we’ll tell you about all the features available and where we’ll also give you guidelines on how to use them.

But before continuing with this introduction, here is a word for some of our old users who might be panicking right now. Hush! Under this new version, we’ve preserved all the features that we offered under the old version: contests, news, photos, and videos. You can find them under the ‘Contests’, ‘News’, ‘Photos’, and ‘Videos’ tab of the main menu. Note, however, that access to the photos and videos requires registration. But remember, registration is free and only takes a few seconds. With that said, let’s return to our introductory look at the new version.

Under this new version, the homepage is extremely helpful, for it gives you a snapshot of virtually the entire site. The site has 12 principal features:
1.    Blogs
2.    Calendar
3.    Classifieds
4.    Contests
5.    Directory
6.    Forum
7.    Interviews
8.    News
9.    Photos
10.  Profiles
11.  Reviews
12.  Videos
And on the homepage you get to see what’s the latest in each one of these features. First, on the homepage’s slideshow you can find some of the newest items that we’ve decided to highlight for the day.

Second, below the slideshow, you’ll find 12 boxes organized in rows of three. Each one of these boxes stands for one of the principal features of the site.

So for example, if you look at the ‘Blogs Box’, then you’ll find the latest entries posted by our feature bloggers.

Take another example. If you look at the ‘Forum Box’, then you’ll see all the latest entries posted in the forum by our users.

And if you are logged in when looking at the homepage, then the forum entries which you haven’t read will be all blinking in red. Now this blinking feature is only limited to forum entries.

But blinking or not, the important point is that those boxes will give you a snapshot of the latest entries of the feature in question, from blogs and forums to videos and interviews.
